The entry of into the Democratic primary for governor raises questions about what Ohio Supreme Court Justice Bill O鈥橬eill will do now. O鈥橬eill, who last month came under fire for his outlining his personal sex life, is waiting to see what Cordray does before deciding on whether to run.
O鈥橬eill said in January he intended to enter the governor鈥檚 race, but he also said this: 鈥淚f Richard Cordray is running, I鈥檓 not running.鈥�
Now the former Ohio attorney general and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau chief . But O鈥橬eill says he鈥檚 not dropping out until he鈥檚 assured Cordray will work to legalize marijuana, something Cordray wasn鈥檛 willing to talk about at his announcement.
鈥淚 don鈥檛 have anything much to say about that today,鈥� he said.
So O鈥橬eill says he鈥檚 staying in the race right now, but will announce a final decision Friday.
